A difficult day for Drew

The first picture is Drew's reward chart.  Thursday has been a difficult day for him. He's gotten in trouble many times and only earned 2 magnets today.

Isaiah, on the other hand, has had 3 awesome days! He loves this type of thing and works hard at it.  He is like me and loves to see a goal that has been placed before him and works to achieve it.  He has some internal motivation to do well and be a good boy.  I am so grateful!

The joy of friends

We had a great day today with many of Isaiah's friends!  It is a joy to have such great friends for Isaiah and having them over to laugh and play is such a blessing. We are blessed to live in our small little town.

My 32nd bday!

For my birthday, all 3 boys made me some brownies. They were delicious and it was so fun to watch them all work together in the kitchen doing something for Mommy! I stayed out of there and watched them from the rocking chair, just soaking in the time to myself.  They then took me out to eat.  It was a special day!

Pep Rally & Game Day

At school the kids get to bring money for tattoos on Fridays to wear to the football games.  It is one of the little things that get them excited and makes them feel special. They were so proud to walk out of class wearing them and then to wear them to the pep rally was an added bonus!

Drew didn't get any tattoos but he was excited nonetheless.

I hope these 2 are good friends for many years to come.  We love having Addie with us each day!

New Reward Charts

We bought new reward charts for the boys today.  We wanted something where we could be more specific on their chores and behaviors.  We like this one from Melissa and Doug. It has magnetic pieces that are easy to change out each week to work on different things.  The boys reward pieces are also magnetic and the boys love earning magnets each day. I hope this is something we can stick with for a long time!

Catching fish.....finally!

After many, many attempts to catch fish at the Lake House, today was finally successful!  Isaiah & Drew caught probably 12 fish!  It was so exciting!

Isaiah acts like a pro at putting the hook in the water.  And on this day, he actually caught a fish.

It was a little squirt, but it still counts!

Grandad took it off the hook and about 5 seconds after this picture, it wiggled out of his hand and back into the water.  Drew thought that was hilarious!

Drew waited for each fish we caught and he wanted to be the one to hold it and throw it back!  I was shocked that he liked touching the fish so much.  He liked it when they wiggled in his hands and he loved grabbing them by their mouths.

Parenting...

This just about sums it up.  It's hard work, that's for sure!

Pep rally time

It is football time again...which means many Pep Rallies! And how much better can it get when your friends get to come with you! 

And then the Friday night games make for a fun time!  Drew is loving the pom poms! :)

Feeding the fish

After a great first day of school, we decided to get ready for bed and walk over to the pond to feed the fish some bread.  We don't do this very often so this made it such a special activity! Drew was just giddy to see the fish!
